CAWCD has two types of bonding capacity, revenue bonds and general obligation bonds. CAWCD revenue bonding authority is defined in statute under Arizona Revised Statutes section 48-3762.A. Under this statute, CAWCD has $250 million of revenue bonding capacity. CAWCD's general obligation bonding authority is found under Arizona Revised Statutes section 35-451 et seq. There is no delineation as to how the funds from these bonds are to be used by CAWCD.
