What is "ADD Water"? "ADD Water" stands for the Acquisition, Development and Delivery of new Water supplies.
Project ADD Water was a public stakeholder process that resulted in a consensus regarding how new water supplies should be shared and paid for by water users in CAP's three-county service area, assuming CAP is the entity that acquires, develops and delivers those supplies. Based on the consensus reached, the CAP Board voted in March of 2010 to proceed with implementing an ADD Water Program. We are now in the implementation phase of the ADD Water Program.
The purpose of this website is to provide stakeholders with relevant information on all the activities associated with implementing the ADD Water Program.

Task Teams will be developed to facilitate productivity during implementation. Task Teams are small groups of individuals that will prepare work products for the BIG Group. A Task Team will be developed to prepare a particular work product and will be closed upon completion of the task. Any work prepared at the Task Team level will be forwarded to the BIG Group for consideration and input by all stakeholders.
A focal point for implementing the ADD Water Program is the Broad Implementation Guidance stakeholder group (BIG Group). The BIG Group will provide a setting for all stakeholders to receive updates on, have input into and participate in decisions about work conducted by smaller groups, CAP staff and others. Consistent with this, the BIG Group is where the ADD Water Program will seek to finalize stakeholder agreements and other points of consensus during implementation. Anyone can participate in the BIG Group.
